A Favorite Hideaway Of The Fashion And Art Crowd In The Financial District

China Chalet, by day a dragon-and-neon restaurant and banquet hall at 47 Broadway in Downtown’s Financial District, has been a favorite hideaway for the fashion and art crowd for at least the past thirteen years. After midnight, there’s no sign overhead, but the in-crowd regularly turns it into a pop-up nightclub that has stood the test of time.

For those who remember, pictured below is another Downtown spot that also used to be taken over by pop-up clubs by the likes of Carlos Quirarte, the driving force behind several successful Downtown nightclubs.
